Born out of Milk Studios, a creative hub in downtown New York City, community and self-expression is at the heart of everything we do.
We believe beauty isn’t about how you create your look, it’s what you do in it that matters.
Milk Makeup was founded by Milk co-founder Mazdack Rassi, product developer and COO Dianna Ruth, seasoned Milk Girl and creative director Georgie Greville, and beauty + fashion editor and E! News correspondent Zanna Roberts Rassi. All aspects of the line are developed in-house at Milk Studios, our downtown NYC home.
Since we first launched Milk Makeup, we’ve worked hard to create clean beauty products with good ingredients that deliver epic payoff. A big part of that is making sure that all our products are vegan, cruelty-free, and formulated with care. We believe there shouldn’t be a tradeoff between sticking to these commitments and creating innovative new launches for you to meet and love. We’ll continue to hold ourselves to these standards, and we also want to be transparent with you as we do so.
At Milk Makeup, we’ve always used the word “clean” to describe how we formulate, but we know that the definition of that term is not finite.
In June 2020, we made 5 commitments as a team and shared them with our community along with a promise to begin work immediately and to provide an update every 6 months thereafter. This is where we are right now in our ongoing, ever-evolving process.
